Patch Policy
Patch policies define the criteria for applying security patches and functional improvements on devices. They allow controlling when, how, and to which reporting groups the patches are distributed, thereby ensuring optimal performance and adequate security levels.
Define a patch policy
- Access
Portal
->Patch
->Targets
. - Create a new target by clicking
+ New
. - Fill in the fields:
- Name. Name of the new patch policy.
- Reporting Group. Group of devices targeted by the new patch policy (can be more than one).
- Microsoft Patch Directive (optional field). Microsoft patch directive to which the new patch policy will be linked.

Click on
Save

The information of the new patch policy will appear on the screen.

Schedule patches
The patch policy allows scheduling the day and time when patches will be applied to the devices in a reporting group.
- Access
Portal
->Patch
->Targets
. - In the table, select a patch policy.
- Click on the
Schedule
tab ->Edit
. - Define the frequency.
- Click on
Save
